Models of Ducati Cruiser Bikes

Ducati is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer that has introduced a range of interesting models, but there have never been many cruisers that you can find in their product range. However, these few machines still deserve your attention.

A Brief History

In the 1980’s, cruisers were extremely popular in America, and that is why many manufacturers started working under their own series of this type of bike. This is how the Indiana 650 saw the light in 1987, the very first Italian cruiser. Although there were lots of elements from Ducati, such as the gas tank, Pantah engine, and others, the machine was actually made by Cagiva. It was based on the 1985 Kawasaki Vulcan.

The Diavel was the second bike of this type from Ducati that was first introduced in 2010 at the EICMA in Milan. In five years, the manufacturer showed the next version in Geneva. The 1,198.4cc engine is today known as Testastretta 11°.

The Most Popular Models

The Ducati Indiana 650 had many advantages over its competitors, including great handling, better acceleration, and quicker stopping, which were achieved thanks to the light weight of the bike. The machine was made for only one year because, despite all of its advantages, it was not good enough. This model is very rare nowadays.

The 2017 Diavel Diesel was produced in a limited quantity of only 666 bikes. The model was produced thanks to the cooperation of the Italian manufacturer and Diesel. The motorcycle comes with a 62.2-in. wheelbase, the ride-by-wire system that allows choosing something out from several different modes, and eight traction control settings.
