You shouldn’t take this rating for granted since it’s just a matter of preference. For example, some people place the new motorcross bike Husqvarna FC 450 on the first place. However, we have dared to place it on the fourth place only. Let us explain why.

Well, the dirt motorcycle’s speed is fairly good but the initial response leaves much to be desired. In this regard, the new off-road bike shares the same issue with the KTM 450 SX-F mentioned above.

We should note the good Magura hydraulic clutch. It gives the feeling that you can load the engine harder, while in cornering the new bike is conveniently controlled. Unfortunately, it’s overshadowed by its mediocre ergonomics. The new dirt bike’s saddle is so stiff that it’s nearly unreal to move on it.

In general, it’s a well-balanced motorcross beast and you might not find those shortcomings significant enough.

Honda CRF450R

We have just decided to place this new dirt bike on the third place. We appreciate the fact that of all five nominees, it’s the fastest off-road motorcycle. Not only its engine is responsible for this achievement but the combination of the high-quality suspension and chassis also made a decent contribution.

The engine operation is strikingly flexible, giving you the freedom to choose between up to five driving modes from fairly moderate to aggressively wild.

We also liked the way it’s handled. Why have we placed this new motorcross bike on the third place? The answer is simple – we don’t appreciate its ergonomics. The next two bikes are more preferable in this regard.

Yamaha YZ450F

When talking about the Yamaha YZ450F, we should confess that this motorcross bike demonstrates a complete harmony literally in everything. Here we appreciate everything, including its suspension, motor, handlebar, and chassis. It feels like the Yamaha team has tried to cater to all the needs of the motorcross drivers.

We should highly praise its ergonomics since the comfortable seat enables the dirt rider to move freely. However, you might be struggling to control the motorcycle when making turns and that’s the reason it’s on the second place.

Kawasaki KX450

That’s an indisputable leader of our rating. Its ergonomics is mind-blowing – you will feel yourself as one solid entity with the dirt bike. Nothing will distract you from comfortable handling.

Secondly, its powerplant instantly reacts to throttling, enabling you to gracefully overleap obstacles, leaving your rivals behind.

Thirdly, its hydraulic clutch is exceptionally user-friendly. So, you will get used to it in a second. You won’t regret picking up this dirt motorcycle for your racing adventure.
