Description

The production of the CBR250R bike started in 2011. This motorcycle was available in almost all Honda markets. Honda CBR 250R was initially produced for the Indian and Thai markets, but it was also sold in North America, Europe, and other countries.

History of Honda CBR 250R

In 2010, the Honda CBR 250R bike was introduced in the Thailand International Motor Expo. The production of the motorcycle was started by Thai Honda Manufacturing in Thailand.  Sales began in 2010. In one year, the bike became available in Japan. Indian model was manufactured by HMSI and Honda Motorcycle for the markets of India and South America. In the USA, the Kawasaki Ninja 250R was the major competitor of the CBR250R motorcycle since the early 1990s.

About the Model

The original the CBR250R by Honda was very similar to the VFR1200F. Honda CBR 250R motorcycle had more torque at lower engine speeds than Ninja 250R. This means that this Honda model was much easier to accelerate from low speed. The Honda model was also much lighter. The motorcycle is considered the best choice for taller riders.

There are not many changes in the latest 2018 CBR250R by Honda, according to one review. There are some changes in the exhaust pipes, rear fenders, and other features. The newest Honda model is available in a range of colors, including gray/green, matte grey, orange, and yellow/red.

The 2018 Honda CBR 250R also comes with a new BSIV-compliant engine and a six-speed gearbox. This makes it more powerful if compared to the previous model. The frame of the Honda model remains the same. The telescopic forks are located at the front, while a monoshock unit is located at the back of the motorcycle.

According to the review by the testers at Motorcycle Consumer News, the CBR250R by Honda is the better choice for the US customers, including beginners and those looking for a practical bike.
