Models of Ducati Classic Bikes

Ducati has a long history of producing motorcycles of different types and styles, and today it is possible to find a range of classic and vintage machines by the manufacturer, which production ended many years ago. However, there are also new vehicles combining the classic style and modern technologies.

A Brief History

In the 1960s, the manufacturer left its mark in the moto history by making the Mach 1, the fastest motorcycle with 250cc engine available at that time.

In 1965, the company introduced the first new concept machine. It was the 350 Sebring, which still remains the largest bike ever made by the Italian manufacturer.

When Ducati 860 GTS was produced in 1976, it became clear that the company is able to compete with the Japanese companies. The bike was an improved version of 860 GT, which is considered by many people to be the last affordable classic Ducati.

The SportClassics was a machine in the retro style introduced for the first time in Tokyo in 2003. It was created by the chief designer of Ducati, who used The Isle of Man produced in 1978 in his work. There have been different variations of the vehicle that were similar in frames and engines.

The Ducati Scrambler saw the light in 2014, and in three years, the machine became available in different versions, including Classic.

The Most Popular Models

The Sport1000 by Ducati was based on the 750 Sport released in 1973 with a few elements borrowed from the 750 Imola Desmo. This lightweight machine had the appearance of a classic cafe racer. It was equipped with the 992 cc, air-cooled Desmodromic engine, a 1,425 mm wheelbase, as well as Pirelli Phantom tires. The model came in black, amber, red, and with a white, black, and white stripes accordingly.

The Ducati Scrambler classic version was designed for those bikers who like the 1970s style, but wish to enjoy the comfort and functionality provided by the modern technologies. There are interesting, refined details in the bike, for instance, the aluminum front/rear mudguards and the comfortable brown seat with various inserts.
