A Brief History and Model Description
This Kawasaki model was first introduced to the European countries and Canada in 2007. As for the American market, the machine appeared only the following year.
The original Versys 650 by Kawasaki was based on the Ninja 650R, and it featured their platform as well as the engine, frame, and others. The main differences were the different riding position, rear subframe, engine tuning, and others.
In 2009, Kawasaki released the machine to match CA emissions standards, and in one year, the Versys 650 came with new the headlight, fairings, and enlarged mirrors, and with no ABS. More improvements by Kawasaki were made in 2015, including adding twin headlight. Thanks to the compact inline-twin engine, riders can enjoy outstanding riding experience.
The 2018 Versys 650 ABS comes with the latest features and some redesigned elements, including suspension for long travel, 17-inch wheels, and upright riding position. Other features of the newest Kawasaki ABS version of this model are the following:
· 649cc engine
· Windscreen for comfort cruising
· GPS in this Kawasaki model is optional
· A gear position indicator
