The first generation of Suzuki Hayabusa came with a 1,299 cc liquid-cooled engine. When it appeared on the market, it impressed the public right away with the innovative technologies used for making it so powerful and fast bike. There were a few changes added to the bike from this generation if compared to the original Suzuki model.
The second generation started with the 2008 Hayabusa model. The Suzuki model had to be improved to be able to compete with new rivals hitting the market, such as Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R, BMW K1200S, and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14. The name of the GSX1300R was removed allowing the bikes to be simply called the Hayabusa. The capacity of the engine of this Suzuki motorcycle was increased up to 1340 cc., which allowed increasing its power up to 194 hp.
