History of Suzuki Hayabusa 1300

Hayabusa means Peregrine Falcon in Japanese, the bird that is believed to be capable of developing the speed of more than 200 mph. From 1999 to 2007, this Suzuki model of a sports bike was also known as GSX1300R. Right after it was released to the public, it was named the fastest motorcycle in the world, which was capable of developing up to 194 mph. This put the Honda CBR1100XX, the previous leader, in second place. In the same year, the manufacturers of Japan and Europe had to limit the speed of their products to match the European requirements. The top speed was limited to 194 mph, which left Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 the fastest motorcycle.

The first generation of Suzuki Hayabusa came with a 1,299 cc liquid-cooled engine. When it appeared on the market, it impressed the public right away with the innovative technologies used for making it so powerful and fast bike. There were a few changes added to the bike from this generation if compared to the original Suzuki model.

The second generation started with the 2008 Hayabusa model. The name of the GSX1300R was removed allowing the bikes to be simply called the Hayabusa.
