A Brief History and Model Description
The original GSX-R600 that was launched by Suzuki in 1992 and produced until 1993 had a water-cooled 599 cc engine and the same specifications as the GSX-R750. For the next four year, the Suzuki machine was not made, but in 1997 it was redesigned for the presentation of SRAD. The model remained unchanged until 2000, and in 2001 the machine was equipped with fuel injection.
In 2004, Suzuki introduced the model with a few changes that included new fairings, inverted forks, as well as a fuel tank. The engine was also improved by adding 32-bit ECU.
In two years, the GSX-R600 saw the world with a new engine. The Suzuki bike also came with a slipper clutch and underslung exhaust.
In 2008, the machines featured new bodywork. Among other interesting features of the Suzuki machines that deserve your attention were new subframe, S-DMS, and fuel tank.
The GSX-R600 introduced in 2011 was 9 kg lighter than the previous bikes. The machine also featured Showa BPF, Brembo High-Performance brake calipers.
