The legendary motorcycle English brand Royal Enfield showed up in the second half of the 1880s, when George Townsend, an unknown person, opened a business for the production of ordinary sewing needles. Things didn’t go well until in 1880 he purchased a wooden bicycle with hard iron rims. Being a bright inventor, he managed to make the design of the saddle more comfortable due to the employment of springs. Having received all the necessary patents, he shifted to the production of bicycle parts as well as accessories. Unfortunately, later, in 1892, luck betrayed him. His company went bankrupt and passed under the leadership of Albert Go. As a result, the company was divided into 2 firms. The first was engaged in the supply of weapons mechanisms for the Royal Small Arms factory in Anfield, while the second enterprise launched the production of bicycles under the name Enfield.

The company released their first motorcycle in 1901 and dubbed it Royal Enfield.
They released their first V-twin 2,25-hp motorcycle in 1909.

During WWII, the company produced military motorcycles.

In 1947, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle with a 4-stroke engine and an advanced design was released.

In the 1970s, Royal Enfield released achieved good results in improving the quality of its bikes, thus becoming the producer of one of the best motorcycles in the world.

In 1993, Eicher purchased a 60% stake of the company, thus starting a new vector in the development of Royal Enfield.

2020 New Royal Enfield Motorcycles
Royal Enfield demonstrated a revolutionary new motorcycle concept in Milan. As we see, that’s not the original bobber design with a softail frame and a rectangle fork. The main thing is that instead of an in-line engine, a V-twin motor is installed here. The design of the cylinders drops a hint that it’s designed on the basis of a parallel twin 650- cc, although its volume is larger than indicated by the plate with the number 838. As a matter of fact, the original Royal Enfield KX arose in 1936, when the company was 100% British. It became the flagship heavy model. However, it existed only until the outbreak of World War II due to the fact the army required simpler motorcycles.

2019 Royal Enfield Bullet 500

The Royal Enfield introduced the updated Bullet 500 motorcycle. The new bike has reportedly acquired a number of crucial improvements.

Most of the changes have to do with the powerplant. Now the motor complies with the Euro-4 standard. The 499-cc single-cylinder motor gives out 27.5 hp and 40.6 Nm of the maximum torque. The company's engineers optimized the throttle. As a result, the motorcycle speeds up from 0 to 96 km/h faster than the pre-styling version. In addition, the bike received new color options, an upgraded fork, and ABS.
